Experience

Interface and Control Systems, Inc. is a software development firm with locations in Melbourne Florida, Columbia Maryland, Boulder Colorado, and Santa Clara California.  Since our inception in 1988, we have accumulated a substantive company resume that includes a staff who are experienced in development and fielding of large scale systems for the Aerospace, Communications and Transportation Industries.  ICS has developed a COTS software product called SCL which uses Artificial Intelligence to automate control systems.

Core Competencies

The ICS Staff have an extensive background in Object-Oriented design and development of real-time control systems for workstation class computers and embedded systems.  Our experience ranges from developing a COTS software product which is sold and serviced nationwide, to developing custom applications for end-users.

The ICS Staff has experience in the development of portable software used on UNIX, Windows NT, and embedded systems.  We have considerable experience in the following areas:

• Development of highly automated applications using Artificial Intelligence technologies.
• UNIX (Sun Solaris, HP-UX, SGI-IRIX, etc.), Windows NT, VAX/VMS, and Embedded Operating Systems (VxWorks, VTRX, pSOS, etc.)
• Windowing Systems: X-Windows, Motif, Microsoft Foundation Classes, and GUI builders.
• 3rd Party GUI Engines - Dynamic Data Visualization Tools (DDVTs) Sammi, SL-GMS, DataViews/Talarian LabView
• Message Broker Technologies - CORBA, CLMS, SmartSockets
• Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Systems Engineering
• C and C++ development - C++ using MFC, and in-house class libraries, and C for embedded systems.
• Systems Integration - middleware development between 3rd party COTS products to build larger systems.
• Object-Oriented Database Development and Relational Database Development (O2, Versant, SQL Server, Access, Sybase, Oracle, etc.)
