Columbia, Md., June 16, 2000 -- Interface & Control Systems (ICS) announced today that they are working with Charles River Analytics (CRA) on a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) award.  CRA will produce a toolset to manage the initial configuration of a satellite constellation.  This will include its hierarchical composition with agents and sub-agents along with their respective capabilities.

ICS will deliver scenarios which illustrate the execution of tasks using the Distributed Intelligent Planning and Scheduling paradigm for all scenarios. The scenarios will contain a realistic time-tagged sequence of instructions. Written in the Knowledge Query Manipulation Language (KQML), the script will ultimately be used for a simulation conducted by CRA.
