| ICS to Develop RIMS system Columbia, MD October 2001 -- Interface & Control Systems (ICS) announced a contract award with Lockheed Martin Commercial Systems to develop the Remote Intelligent Monitoring System (RIMS). The RIMS is designed to provide remote telemetry monitoring capabilities using standard web-based browsers and will initially be deployed to monitor a remote A2100 satellite telemetry stream. The system will also feature a web-based administration capability. ICS will provide their flagship product SCL as the core component of this real-time system. SCL’s innovative Real-Time Engine (RTE) provides the flexibility to adapt operations in response to the changing state of the spacecraft. The RTE monitors the spacecraft and schedules/executes scripts that perform well-specified sets of actions and control directives. Scripts are written in a high-level, English-like language designed by ICS that supports all the features of traditional time-based command sequencing languages combined with an asynchronous event-based command capability. Built-in telemetry monitoring mechanisms, called Rules, provide autonomous operations by connecting desired responses to detectable changes in the SCL Database. The RIMS will utilize SCL Scripts and Rules for intelligent monitoring of data points stored in the SCL Database. Real-time client side JAVA applets will used to identify out-of-limits conditions detected by SCL. In addition, ICS will incorporate their Intelligent Messaging system to create unique user profiles that will be able to send real-time alerts to any mobile device. ICS is a privately held company with main offices in Columbia, MD, and Melbourne, FL and Boulder CO. The product development and engineering services firm specializes in the development of real-time, embedded, and autonomous command and control software systems. Contact information:
