| ICS Selected to Team with GE-Harris on
PinPoint System
Melbourne, FL, October 2000 -- Interface & Control Systems (ICS) announced a contract with GE-Harris Railway Electronics in Melbourne Florida, to upgrade the PinPoint System. PinPoint is used by the railway industry to geo-locate locomotives and monitor critical data points such as Fuel Levels. The PinPoint system uses a satellite link to beam the transmit the location of the locomotive to a central Data Center also here in Melbourne. Customers can use a standard web browser to view current locations of locomotives using map overlays. GE-Harris selected ICS as its partner because of ICS’s experience and expertise in successfully developing large embedded software systems under aggressive schedules. ICS engineers are integrated into the GE-Harris team developing the PinPoint embedded product. ICS is a privately held company with main offices in Columbia, MD, and Melbourne, FL and Boulder CO.
