Transactions in a system
can be thought of as Events, whether it is database updates,
financial transactions, XML data transfers, file transfers, clicks
on a web page, etc. Each of these Events can be used to trigger
eSCL
Business Rules.
Some real world scenarios could be a real-time external event coming from a specialized data feed or a database event from a SQL server database. Examples of database events include table or field create, modify, or delete events.
Retrieved in real-time, the rules allow
you to manipulate fields within database tables as well as Business Rule
variables that are stored in the eSCL shared memory database. The Business
Rules make decisions, calculate intermediate values, store information
in database tables, and communicate with other supply chain or specialized
interfaces. This user defined logic can call external processes, format
Web pages on the fly using XML, or simply page or e-mail a customer or
system administrator. All interfaces in the eSCL system have documented
Application Programmer Interfaces (APIs).
Retain control, your business depends
on it
For mission critical applications, control
is a priority. You don't want to be at the mercy of a software vendor.
You want that continuing exchange of value through support, engineering
and maintenance that a good vendor relationship can provide.
In addition, HTML and now XML, are now considered standard due to the increasing availability of tools and support within an open environment.
As a critical member of this growing community, eSCL is available Source Alliance. We will provide the value you expect to support your business and mission critical applications.
