ICS Background

SCL has been developed by Interface and Control Systems, Inc. (ICS). ICS is a small business specializing in software used for command and control applications. ICS was formed in 1988 to provide an Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution to satellite command and control. Since then ICS has developed the SCL product which is marketed as a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) product.


ICS Corporate Structure

ICS is structured along two business lines: the product development group, and the services group. The product development group is responsible for the evolution of the system and product research and development. The Product Group continues to insure that the SCL system is on the cutting edge of technology. Object-oriented techniques are applied to the development of the system by our well-seasoned professionals. This core group strives to ensure the portability, reusability and reliability of the SCL system. Documentation support and Technical Support also fall under this group.


The Service Group is responsible for the deployment of the SCL system for customers who require assistance in development of larger systems. ICS performs systems engineering and software development services for a wide variety of corporations and government entities. The Service group also performs System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) services for its customers.


Qualifications

Our staff has extensive experience in systems engineering, software development and design using Ada, C, C++, FORTRAN, and native assembly language. We have developed our product on UNIX, VAX/VMS, Macintosh and IBM PC compatible systems, and have developed software tools which allow the user interface to range from text terminals to full graphic visualization interfaces. We also have extensive experience in windowing systems such as: X-windows, OSF/Motif, Open Look, Macintosh windowing system, and Microsoft Windows. Our staff has experience developing applications using commercial database products (OODB & RDBMS).
