SCL supports selection of the following third-party products to provide additional capabilities:
The SCL system uses a client-server architecture to abstract the User Interface from the underlying core system. SCL is available with bridges to popular Dynamic Data Visualization Tools (DDVTs) listed below. Others available upon request, please call for availability.
Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
The user can develop SCL scripts and rules in an encapsulated environment which supports croma-coded keywords, built-in editor, project environment, interfaces to configuration management software, class browser, and interactive control of the SCL system. The same graphical front end can be used for the development of C and C++ code as well as the SCL knowledge bases.
SCL relies on a Message Broker technology. The message broker can be configured to allow processes to register to consume or produce message packets. The Message Broker allows for distributed processing and fail over capabilities to be designed into monitor and control systems. A third option of BSD style sockets is also available as part of the SCL Application Programmer's Interface (API).
ICS has recently developed a bridge to the IDL product from Research Systems, Inc. IDL can be used for 2D and 3D visualization of engineering data. See the Research Systems, Inc. web site for more information on IDL. Please call ICS for availability of this bridge.
